How Vice Mechanical LLC uses cookies — and why non-essential cookies stay off until you say yes.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. “Necessary” cookies make a site work; other cookies can be used to measure traffic or advertising. This policy also covers similar technologies such as pixels and local storage.
Our approach: off until you consent
Every non-essential tool we use — Google Analytics under the Analytics category, and our CRM's visitor tracking under Marketing — is blocked from loading at all until you opt in, and anything we add later is blocked the same way. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which keeps all four advertising and analytics signals — ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization — denied by default. They are only updated to “granted” for a category after you turn that category on. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal automatically.
Categories of cookies we use
Required for the site to work — loading pages securely and remembering the privacy choice you make in the banner. These do not track you and cannot be switched off.
Google Analytics 4 (managed through Google Tag Manager), which helps us understand which pages visitors find useful so we can improve the site. It sets Google Analytics cookies — such as _ga and _ga_<container> (typically lasting up to about two years) — and sends usage data to Google LLC in the United States. It loads only after you turn this category on, and under Google Consent Mode v2 the analytics_storage signal stays denied until then.
Used by our CRM (LeadConnector/GoHighLevel) to record the pages you view and the ad, search, or campaign you arrived from, and to link that history to a service request if you send us one — so we can measure which marketing is working. It stores a visitor ID on your device and only loads after you turn this category on. Keeping it off is also your “Do Not Sell or Share” choice, and it never affects your ability to contact us or get service.
Changing your preferences
You are in control. Open your any time to review categories, turn optional ones on or off, or withdraw consent — it is as easy to say no as to say yes. Your choice is stored on your own device and re-applied on your next visit. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings.
